What it is
Time Calculator is a precise and practical time difference calculator: enter a start date and an end date to instantly get the difference in years, months, days—and, if you want, also hours, minutes and seconds. You can choose multiple output modes (automatic, single unit, fixed unit or full breakdown), enable “Start = now” or “End = now” for real-time counting, and decide whether to include the time (HH:MM:SS) or calculate at day level only. Ideal for deadlines, contracts, age, event intervals and timestamp comparisons.
- Difference between two dates, with or without time
- Output modes: Auto, Single unit, Fixed unit, Full breakdown
- Real-time Start/End “now” and automatic date ordering
How it works
Set start and end
Pick the two dates in a couple taps: if you swap them by mistake, the app automatically reorders them so the calculation stays correct.
Decide whether to include time
Enable “Include time” for second-level precision. If disabled, the calculation happens at day level (00:00:00).
Choose the result mode
Use Auto for a clean output, Single for a compact number, Fixed to lock a unit (years, weeks, minutes…), or Breakdown to see all components.
Features
4 output modes for every need
Auto shows only relevant units, Breakdown always shows all components, Single converts to one “most meaningful” unit, Fixed lets you choose the unit (years, weeks, hours, minutes…) with optional rounding.
Include time (HH:MM:SS) when you need precision
Switch from “day-level” to hour/minute/second calculations: perfect for timestamps, activity durations, logs and detailed comparisons.
Live mode: Start/End = now
Enable “Start = now” or “End = now” to update the result automatically every second: ideal for ongoing counters and live monitoring.
Fast, clean experience
After the first “Calculate”, every option change updates the result automatically. Plus, the app reorders dates if swapped and shows results as easy-to-read pills you can share.
FAQ
Auto includes only non-zero units (cleaner), while Breakdown always shows all selected units (years, months, days and, if enabled, hours/minutes/seconds).
Because Single/Fixed express everything in one unit using continuous conversions (e.g., months/years as average duration), while Auto/Breakdown follow the real calendar (actual years/months/days).
If you’re not using “now”, the app automatically reorders the dates to keep the calculation correct and error-free.
